Anemone virginiana
Tall Thimbleweed
There is so much to love about this native perennial! Deer don't like it, but butterflies and other pollinators do. The white flowers that rise above the foliage produce thimble-shaped seed heads, which remain on the plant into the winter. Thimbleweed grows best in partial shade but will tolerate some sun and even full shade.
