Pycnanthemum tenuifolium
Narrow-Leaf Mountain Mint
Really, this is NOT the mint you're probably thinking of. This plant, native to eastern North America, has the scent but is not the more commonly grown herb garden mint. It grows in clumps that can be as wide as 3 feet. The small flowers are white with touches of pink or lavender and grow in clusters during the summer. The flowers feed a variety of bees and other native pollinators.
