You've seen this beauty along the Perennial Border at the Arboretum. Bright scarlet flowers provide color toward the end of summer when other plants are fading. Deer and rabbits don't like it, but butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds love it. This is an excellent choice for cut flowers, as they will last in the vase for up to two weeks.
