Rudbeckia maxima
Giant Coneflower
The member of the daisy family is called "Giant" for good reason. Everything about it is big! It grows 6 to 8 feet tall and has large blue-gray leaves. The flowers are 3 inches wide, with a central cone that can be as much as 6 inches high. The flowers attract butterflies, and birds will come for the seeds that form in the central cone.
