Digitalis purpurea
Snow Thimble Foxglove
Aptly named! The thimble-shaped flowers of this foxglove are pure white, like fresh snow. In the summer, the flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Note that this species of foxglove is a biennial, which means it has only leaves in its first year, flowers in the second year, and then dies. The plants you will receive are second-year plants, which means they will flower. These make excellent cut flowers, but allow some flowers to go to seed, and they will self-sow for future plants.
