Pycnanthemum muticum
Blunt Mountain Mint
When crushed, plant parts smell like spearmint, but this is not the spearment commonly grown in herb gardens. The small flowers are pale pink and grow in clusters during the summer. At the base of each cluster are two bracts, which remain long after the flowers have finished. Their silvery color gives the plant the unusual illusion of being lightly dusted with snow!
