Dicentra spectabilis
Bleeding Heart
This traditional bleeding heart has long been a spring garden staple for good reason. It produces abundant pink heart-shaped flowers with petals that "bleed" from the center of the heart. To add a modern contrast, mix this perennial with the "Alba," a white bleeding heart (also in the sale!). By summer, the plant will go dormant, so plant this among perennials that come up a bit later and fill in the space.
