Dicentra formosa
Fern-leaf Bleeding Heart 'Luxuriant'
This small bleeding heart has finely divided leaves that look like ferns. Unlike other bleeding hearts, this species does not go dormant in summer but continues to bloom into early fall. Its short size makes it ideal for rock gardens or front-of the-garden planting. Cherry-pink flowers are borne on stems that rise above the foliage. This perennial tolerates full shade and is deer and rabbit resistant.
